The business

I built JobSweep, a UK job search site that searches nine UK job sites at once. It is live at jobsweep.co.uk, and I run it on my own.

The problem

I had no time and no budget to market it properly. Posts, articles, emails and replies kept waiting.

What was tested

Every helper on this site was tested with JobSweep first: one business and one person, run on my own computer with practice data, practice accounts and a test outbox. Nothing was sent or posted for real. A test passed only when the helper did every job a competitor's version of that service does.

What it showed

51 services passed, with 182 separate jobs inside them. 43 of them are described on the helper pages and the front page; the other 8 are not described on this site yet. What has not passed yet is shown as not built yet: search ranking tracking and a weekly ranking brief.

What is next

Real accounts connect at launch. JobSweep's own marketing is planned to be the first to run through Crierwick. Read the article on how I tested it.
